Three years of llamas
TechnoLlama is now three years old, my first post to this blog was on October 20 2004. In that period of time I’ve written 812 post at an average 5,000 words per month, have infringed copyright hundreds of times by in-lining pictures, and drank Cthulhu knows how many mugs of Read more…
Downloading TV shows made easy

Facebook profiles to be made public
Yesterday I woke up to this message on Facebook. Profiles are now available from Facebook’s main page (the one you get without being logged in), and soon the listings will also make their way to browsers such as Google. It is possible to change privacy settings in order to place Read more…

The admission comes amongst attempts by North Carolina’s Attorney General to change the law so that social networking sites require Read more…
Are you the real online you?
The mainstream press has discovered Web 2.0. Here is an interesting piece in the BBC about what they claim is a growing phenomenon amongst busy people, hiring someone to attend your online presence via blogs and social networking. To be honest, I found the premise for the article rather thin, Read more…
The Internet IS a series of tubes
(via BoingBoing) This is an amazing image charting the Web As We Know It (circa 2007), using the Tokyo underground as a reference. There are some interesting relations implied in the chart, for example, PirateBay is listed as one of the main sites, just as LastFM, YouTube, CraigList and OpenID, Read more…
