It’s time for this year’s April’s Fools update. One of my favourite days in the tech calendar, as geeks don their silly hats and allow their imaginations to run loose.

Down in New Zealand, TPP Watch were the first off the start blocks with the news that the text for the secretive Trans-Pacific PArtnership Agreement (TPPA) had been released by the negotiating governments.

Blizzard never disappoints, and this year they have introduced the Zergotchi, a new login system that is “the next step in both Virtual Pet and Authenticator technology to provide you with the login experience of your life!” No need to type long and boring 6 digit codes.

Google has been good as usual, with Google Maps 8 bit for the NES, Gmail Tap, the self-driving NASCAR car, and the Google Fiber Bar.

Techlaze reports that Richard Stallman is about to launch his very own fashion line, the GNU. I gnuffawed.
