Excellent video about Google.

It is a bit over the top. Google doesn’t want to “own my phone” as such, or know exactly what I’m doing. It wants to target advertising at me. Yes, it is not the best of motives, but they offer all of their services for free.

Full disclosure, I own an Android phone.

Thanks for this, it highlights the issues nicely.

Did you see the Onion "Google Opt out" spoof video? I blogged it at http://blog.tech-and-law.com/2010/02/google-priva

The video certainly gets you thinking about the loss of one's right to privacy.

The again, like I always say, you can opt-out off almost all Google Services, ask them not to save your searches, etc etc. Oh, and that 97% off incomes coming from advertising, not true. I saw it some days ago, but I can't find it again 😛
