He’s making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice…

Yes, it’s that time of year again, the intellectual Property naughty list has been published. This year has the longest Priority Watch List that I remember with twelve countries: China, Russia, Algeria, Argentina, Canada, Chile, India, Indonesia, Israel, Pakistan, Thailand, and Venezuela.

29 countries are in the Watch List, again, quite a lot: Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Italy, Jamaica, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

There is not much to comment on this development, other than perhaps to bemoan the continuing existence of this list. Intellectual property is much more complex than piracy and counterfeiting.
