I find it amusing that the important political debates of our time is being fought not in the op-ed pages of the New York Times, but in your choice of graphic novel. The question of the day is not whether you are Socialist, Labour, Conservative, Tea Party, Libertarian, Democrat, or Republican. The question is: Do you read V for Vendetta or 300? Before making your mind, read the now famous rant from Frank Miller, the response from David Brin, and this Guardian interview with Alan Moore before making your mind.

I know where I stand (I don’t own a copy of the 300 novel, but I’m a happy owner of V and Watchmen):

What do you say? You have never read a graphic novel? What are you waiting for, you philistine?

Definitely a Moore fan here, from way back in his Captain Britain days. Miller's too much of an misogynistic right wing oddball for my tastes and tends to live in the same brain space I put John Byrne.
